The 2020 Rookie of the year winner, MCND is back, But this time with the title track “CRUSH”. This song brings back their playful and goofy side. Some of you might not be heard of Youha. Here is a little backstory. She is a former YG Entertainment trainee[For 9 years]. She was even in the pre-debut group Future 2ne1. She had her solo debut last year. Now She is back with the title track”Abittipsy”. This retro Pop track suits her voice very well. Moreover, instrumentals, vocals, and melody make the song extra special.

8. AB6IX – “STAY YOUNG”

2020 was not that great for Ab6ix, losing their leader was the biggest blow. But members and the agency didn’t lose hope. Now they are back with the track “Stay Young”, which is co-written by member Park Woojin itself. The song’s beautiful melody and distinctive pre-chorus are its killing parts.

7. CHERRY BULLET – “LOVE SO SWEET”

It looks like the retro pop vibe is everyone’s favorite these days. Unlike last year’s hits like LA DI DA or I CAN’T STOP ME, this song purely follows a cutesy concept. But, nevertheless, the song is one of Cherry Bullet’s best title track. Strong points of the song include its catchy hooks, verses, and a not so bad chorus.

6. G IDLE – “HWAA”

G Idle is a group that never failed to impress me with their title tracks. This time was no different. The song is the continuation of their storyline from their 2019 track “HANN”. You can feel the Similarities between their song structure throughout the song. Not to mention, the melodies of the song are great too. Overall it is not as memorable as their 2019 songs, but still better than last year’s releases. Even though it’s not critics favourite, It’s definitely a crowd favourite, because the song has a total of 10 music show wins already. It easily made to our list of best K Pop songs of 2021.

5. TREASURE – “MY TREASURE”

The 2020 Rookie of the year is back with the title track ‘My Treasure’. This song is a huge change in their style and concept. Unlike their past releases, this song shows their brighter side.

This vocally focussed song showcases members’ vocal power in the best way possible. The killing points of the song include its chorus and the funky tone.

With a start like this Treasure is confident that 2021 will be theirs as well.

4. IU – “CELEBRITY”

The ‘Queen of Digitals’ is back, but this time with her pre-release track, CELEBRITY. This song is again a change in sound from her recent releases. But, equally impressive as a song overall. The song hooks you with a melodious pre-chorus followed by a modern Edm chorus.

The song has already destroyed many records and even achieved the first PAK [Perfect All Kill – No.1 In All Music Streaming Platforms In Korea] of 2021. So far the song has reached over 200 PAKs. Moreover, Celebrity became the most viewed K pop MV [2021] in the first 24 hours.

3. U KNOW – “EENY MEENY”

U Know of TVXQ is finally back with his solo album “Noir”. He released two music videos this month. One for ‘Thank U’ and the other for ‘Eeny Meeny’, which is the one that grabbed my attention more. ‘Eeny Meeny’ literally looks like a musical more than an MV. The addition of Red velvet’s Seulgi makes the song visually compelling to the general public. The song has a unique rhythm and instrumental. U know’s vocal, charisma, and dance moves make the song extra special. This song easily became my favorite B Sidetrack of 2021.

2. DREAMCATCHER – “ODD EYE”

As expected what a great ending to Dreamcatcher’s ‘Dystopia Trilogy’. The group released their title track ODD EYE on Jan 26. The song suddenly reached No.1 on Bugs making their first entry to the top spot. Not only the title track, all the Songs in the album charted in Top 5 of Bugs.

Odd Eye’ is just another masterpiece from the group. Their vocals, choreography, visuals all make this MV special. The song easily entered our list of Best K Pop songs of 2021. Moreover, Handong returns and Dreamcatcher is back to seven.

1. GOLDEN CHILD – “BURN IT”

Last year was so special for Golden child. In terms of Both popularity and their achievements. From Road to Kingdom to their successful comebacks the group showed their presence throughout 2020. Now they are back to prove that they are a top tier group and deserve recognition. “Burn It” really surprised me. Maybe a change in Producers might have affected them, But in a good way.

Their vocals, rapping, Crisp and passionate choreography, and of course, their flawless acting make the MV extra special.
